YAKARI STREET FOOD FESTIVAL 2023, the gastronomic festival with real tantalizing tastes, was successfully held on 27th June at NSBM Green University Premises.  The event was successfully organized by the undergraduates of the Plymouth Tourism Batch 22.2 under the Department of Marketing and Tourism Management as a partial fulfilment of the modules; Introduction to Tourism and Events and, Food and Beverage Operations in collaboration with the International Center for Tourism and Hospitality (ICTH) and Foodies Club of NSBM Green University.  

YAKARI 2023 was graced by the Chairman of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Mr. W.B Ganegala as a special guest. It was also dignified by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development & Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Head of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Management, Mr. Venura Colombage, Registrar Examinations, Ms. Piyumi Jayalath, Manager HR, Ms. Yashodha Wettasinghe, Manager Finance, Ms. Sanuji Ranawaka, Module Lecturers: Mr. Lasitha De Silva and Ms. Prasanshika Assella, other NSBM academics and non-academics and dignitaries representing the event’s sponsors.
