A Survey Camp, organised for the academic purposes of Quantity Surveying undergraduates of the Department of Design Studies, took place for two consecutive days at the University Grounds. It was organised as a part of the module “Construction Materials and Site Surveying,” designed to benefit the QS students with onsite exposure to the usage of surveying equipment, drones, and many other modern technologies associated with land surveying practices.
During the camp, the students had the opportunity to engage in demonstration sessions as well as practical workshops throughout the two-day workshop, allowing them to become accustomed to the surveying equipment and methods themselves. Noteworthy was the participation of a Marketing Representative from the University of Plymouth, Ms. Maya Orme-Lynch, along with faculty staff, enriching the interdisciplinary exchange.
