Ms. Thushari Shashikala Munidasa is a Probationary Lecturer attached to the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Science, NSBM. She obtained her B.Sc. (Sp) in Microbiology from the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka with a first class honors and her Master of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. Ms. Thushari has research experience in Microbiology and Food Science fields.

She has more than eleven years of experience in the food industry dedicated to the fields of food quality assurance and quality systems. She has served as an Academic Demonstrator in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya before joining the food industry.
