Tanya Bellingham is the Node Leader for Tourism and Hospitality programmes delivered at NSBM, Sri Lanka and is the Programme Leader of the BSc Events Management at the University of Plymouth. She has also been a Director of the Destination Management Organisation, “Visit Devon” responsible for helping to develop the Tourism Strategy for the region.

Tanya has been involved in designing and delivering Tourism and Event Management degrees for the past 20 years. She has also worked alongside a number of organisations including the Eden Project, the British Council and the Learning and Skills Development Agency to improve tourism and event training skills and knowledge across the industry. Her research and consultancy work has taken her all over the world including working with diverse tourism agencies and government departments in New Zealand, Gran Canaria and Montenegro. Her research interests are varied and include event design and management, sustainable tourism, tourism policy and strategy, event innovation and employability skills.
