Profile

Ms. Sachini Malsha Thennakoon is a Probationary Lecturer attached to the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Science, NSBM. She obtained her B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Sciences, from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka with a first-class honor. She has been awarded as the “Best Employability Skills Achiever” of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the J’pura Employability Skills Awards-2021 organized by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. One of her abstract publications received 3rd place for the best poster presentation at the “RUFARS”– The 3rd Research Symposium of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ruhuna. Ms. Malsha served as an Academic Demonstrator in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She is an SLMC registered Medical Laboratory Scientist and has gained a one-year clinical experience in all the laboratory disciplines including Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, and OPD laboratories at Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital and Colombo South Teaching Hospital.

  • Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist and member of professional supplementary medicine in the Sri Lanka Medical Council
