Ms. Narmada Balasuriya is a Lecturer attached to the Faculty of Business at NSBM Green University Town. She graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with a first class in Accounting. Prior to joining NSBM, she worked as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Accounting, University of Sri Jayewardenepura for a brief period of time. She also possesses over two years of professional experience in the fields of accounting and auditing. She is also a Passed Finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK (CIMA- UK). She is currently reading for her Masters in Business Administration at the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). Her teaching areas include, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Advanced Financial Accounting and Computer Based Accounting. Moreover, she is a member of the Advisory Panel to the student body representing the Accounting and Finance students in the Faculty – the Student Circle of Accounting and Finance (SCAF). She is also the Mistress in charge of the Explorers’ Club at NSBM.
