Janith Iddawala graduated from University of Plymouth (UK), with a First Class Honours in BSc. Events, Tourism & Hospitality Management as a double prize winner securing both the Plymouth Prize for the Highest Achiever in the Degree programme and Award for Best Performance in appreciation of outstanding academic achievements in the respective degree. Upon successful completion of the degree and securing a Dean of Faculty of Business Scholarship he went on to pursue his postgraduate studies in United Kingdom where he successfully completed his MSc. in Tourism & Hospitality Management at University of Plymouth with a Distinction and the highest overall average in the respective degree programme. During his postgraduate studies he also managed to secure the Best Paper Award at the International Student Conference in Tourism Research held in Krems, Austria and was also the recipient of the prestigious TMI postgraduate prize offered by the Tourism Management Institute of United Kingdom in 2018. He is currently an Affiliate Studying Member at Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and his research interests lie in the areas of Sustainable Tourism, Tourism Innovation and Destination Management.

Mr. Iddawala also possesses over 4 years of corporate experience working in both Tourism and Hospitality industries in roles associated with Marketing, Business Development and Sustainability. He has also rendered his services as a visiting lecturer for nearly 1 and a half years at two private institutes affiliated to UK and Australian universities in Sri Lanka prior to joining NSBM. He is currently attached to the Department of Marketing and Tourism at the Faculty of Business of NSBM Green University.
