Mr. Gayan Perera holds a Master of Business Analytics (specializing in Data Science) from the University of Colombo, an MSc in Computer Science from Staffordshire University, UK, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Management Information Systems from NSBM Green University, Sri Lanka. He is actively involved in teaching and module development across various disciplines, including Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Process Mining, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.

Mr. Gayan serves as the Faculty Coordinator for the Australian degree programs at NSBM and is the Master in Charge of the IEEE Student Branch, NSBM Cricket Club, and the Circle of Cloud and Cyber Innovations. He is a member of IEEE and CSSL, reflecting his active engagement in professional networks.

His research interests include agent-based simulations, deep learning, large language models (LLMs), machine learning applications in biosciences, and industrial process efficiency.
