The second Students’ Research Symposium in Operations and Logistics 2024 (SRSOL 2024) proved to be a resounding success, captivating attendees with insightful discussions and groundbreaking ideas. The symposium, held on February 22nd, 2024, at the Faculty of Business, centred around the theme of “Driving Excellence through Digital Transformation and Innovation: Enhancing Operations, Projects, and Logistics Performance.”
The event boasted an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including Professor Sudath Manjula Amarasena – Professor of the Department of Decision Sciences, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayawardenapura and Dr. Subodha Dharmapriya, Senior Lecturer, Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya who delivered thought-provoking keynote speeches on the transformative power of digital technologies in the field of operations and logistics. Their expertise and passion for the subject inspired attendees and set the stage for a day of engaging dialogue.
The symposium was honoured by the presence of Ms. Thilini De Silva, the Dean of the Faculty of Business (FOB), Ms. Anne Pathiranage, the Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance and the academic members of the Department of Operations and Logistics.
