The Second Accounting and Finance Students’ Research Symposium organised by the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Faculty of Business successfully concluded on 5th March 2024 with the theme “Beyond Boundaries; Charting the Course in Uncharted Waters: Global Accounting and Finance Trends and Economic Outlook “.
The event was graced by the Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Bharatha Dodankotuwa, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Deans, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance Ms. Anne Pathiranage, Symposium Chair, Ms. Daupadee Gamage, Symposium Co-Chair, Ms. Narmada Balasooriya, Heads of Other departments and academic members.
The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Sujeewa Damayanthi, Senior Lecturer from the Department of Accounting of the University of Colombo.
The symposium was initiated to create a forum for students to exchange ideas, unveil concealed knowledge, and present their research in the most cutting-edge areas of Accounting and Finance.
