The Rotaract Club of NSBM Green University recently concluded three highly impactful projects that have contributed significantly to fostering personal growth, raising awareness on important social issues, and contributing to the well-being of society.
VIEW ’24 – A Learning Experience at Dialog Axiata
As part of the VIEW ’24 initiative, a group of students from NSBM Green University visited Dialog Axiata. This immersive experience allowed students to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. By witnessing the operations of one of Sri Lanka’s leading telecommunications companies, students gained valuable insights into industry trends and challenges. This experience reinforces the importance of industry collaborations in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
Project ‘Peace’ – Empowering Young Minds with Mental Health Awareness
The Rotaract Club successfully concluded Project ‘Peace’, a mental health awareness initiative held at Balika Nivasaya, Rukmale. The project featured a relaxing and informative session led by Dr. Hasangie Hewa Nalagamage, along with engaging activities organized by the Rotaract committee members. This initiative aimed to empower young girls with the tools for mental well-being, leaving a positive and lasting impact on their lives.
Project ‘Write the Future’ – Empowering the Next Generation
In addition to the above initiatives, the Rotaract Club successfully executed the ‘Write the Future’ initiative at the Mahabodhi Child Development Centre in Meegoda. This significant endeavor aimed to empower young girls by providing them with essential school supplies, thereby fostering a strong foundation for their academic journey. By investing in the education of these young girls, the club has taken a significant step towards empowering them to become future leaders and change-makers.
