NSBM Green University Research Strategy

Introduction

NSBM Green University is committed to fostering a robust research culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence. This strategy outlines a three-tiered approach to research development at the university, focusing on university-wide initiatives, faculty-specific strategies, and department-level research activities. The aim is to enhance the quality and impact of research outputs, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the growth of our academic community through targeted funding, training, and recognition.

Research Strategy Overview

The research strategy of NSBM Green University is structured around three main stages:

  1. Overall University Research Strategy
  2. Faculty-Wise Research Strategy
  3. Department-Wise Research Strategy

Each stage is designed to align with the university’s mission and objectives, promoting a cohesive approach to research development across all levels.

The university-wide research strategy focuses on creating an overarching framework that supports and enhances research activities across all faculties and departments.

Key Initiatives:

  • Research Council Grants: Offering financial support for both applied and academic research, with an emphasis on collaborative projects with external organizations. Grants are awarded based on the potential impact, innovation, and alignment with national priorities.
  • International Publications Incentives: Researchers are monetarily rewarded for publishing in high-impact international journals, encouraging high-quality research outputs and enhancing the university’s global reputation.
  • International Conference on Transformative Applied Research (ICTAR) : A platform for academics and undergraduates to showcase their research findings. The annual international conference foster an exchange of ideas and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Monthly Workshops and Seminars: Organized through the Research Council, these events enhance knowledge, skills, and research capacity. Experts from various fields are invited to share insights and provide guidance on advanced research methodologies and emerging trends.
  • Infrastructure Development: Continued investment in state-of-the-art research facilities and resources to support cutting-edge research across all disciplines.
  • Promoting International Collaboration: Establishing partnerships with leading global research institutions to facilitate joint research projects, and access to international funding.

Expected Outcomes:

  • A vibrant research culture that permeates all aspects of university life.
  • Increased visibility and impact of research outputs on both national and international stages.
