The Project Management Circle of NSBM recently organized a field visit to the NSBM Phase 2 construction site, providing students with valuable practical exposure to real-world project execution. Observing an ongoing construction project allowed students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by witnessing key project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management and stakeholder coordination.

This visit further offered first-hand insights into the complexities and challenges involved in managing large-scale projects, enhancing their understanding of project lifecycle phases and industry best practices. The expertise and guidance of the Project Managers and Engineers at NSBM Phase 2 were invaluable in making the experience insightful. The visit was also enriched by the participation of the Lecturers in Charge of the Project Management Circle, Ms. Lakni Horanage and Mr. Maleesha Edirisinghe.
