The Department of Operations and Logistics recently organised a New Product Development Exhibition along with the anniversary celebrations of NSBM Green University. 

The exhibition was organised to encourage the Industrial Management Specialization students to present their innovative ideas for real products that address present issues in the market. The exhibits were from different domains, including Process innovations, Food Products and Technologically innovative Products. 

The exhibits were evaluated by both internal academic staff and industry experts. The panel of judges included Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Maneesha Dias, Head of the Department of Operations and Logistics, and Mr. Rushdi Hadhi, Manager of the NSBM Career Guidance Unit, along with Mr. Danushka Jayasinghe, General Manager of Contract Logistics and Digital Transformation at MAC Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Indika Gamage, Head of 3P/2P Operations at Unilever Sri Lanka, and Dr. Madhu Fernando, CEO and Project Management Consultant at Innova Strategies. 

The critical evaluation by the evaluators provided students with insights for future improvement of the product as well as encouraged students to take the product ideas to the market, developing entrepreneurial skills among the students.
