“Praana” ( “ප්රාණ 2023” – හදවතේ රිද්මය) the third consecutive edition of the annual musical evening organised by the Department of Design Studies along with Young Designers Association was held on 07th December 2023 at NSBM Open Air Theater.
The evening enlivened the melodies of traditional Sri Lankan drama culture brought to life by the talented NSBM Design students. Beyond the student performances, “Praana 2023” welcomed veteran artists Mr Jananath Warakagoda, Mr Saman Panapitiya, Mr Priyantha Seneviratne, Mrs Nihari Wickramaarachchi, along with Mr. Wijeratne Warakagoda and Mrs. Chithra Warakagoda as special guests of the event.
The distinguished gathering also witnessed the attendance of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Chandana Perera, Head of the Department of Design Studies, Ms Upeksha Hettithanthri, academic and non-academic staff members of NSBM joined and enjoyed the evening full of entertainment.
