NSBM Convocation Week 2023 marked its culmination with the ceremonial graduation of the graduates who completed Computing degrees in affiliation with the University of Plymouth, UK, attached to the NSBM Faculty of Computing. 

Session 10 and 11 – Day 4 honoured NSBM graduates who followed the BSc (Hons) Software Engineering, BSc (Hons) Computer Security, BSc (Hons) Computer Networks and BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree programme.  

Conferment of the degrees was done by the Vice Chancellor of NSBM, Prof E A Weerasinghe, along with the distinguished participation of the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Plymouth, Prof. Dafydd Moore, the Chief Guest of the ceremony. The session was also graced by Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, Academics, Parents and well-wishers.  

In a moment of exceptional individual triumph, Mr. Diluka Thisara Wijesinghe was awarded the “Prize for the Best Performance in Computer Science” and proudly emerged as the recipient of the “Gold Medal Award for Overall Best Performance in the School of Computing”. Whilst Mr. R. A. Shakuvi Akash Fernando was awarded the “Prize for Best Performance in BSc. (Honours) Software Engineering”.
