The NSBM Green University’s newest undergraduate intake – March 2024 marked an exhilarating start to university life with the Orientation Programme kicked off on 13th March 2024 at the Green University premises. This immersive programme is planned to span five days, culminating on the 19th of March.

The Orientation Programme is a specifically designed experience that provides newly enrolled students with a comprehensive understanding of the transformative undergraduate journey ahead while acquainting them with the university and its proceedings prior to commencing the academic semester.

Day 1 of this programme unfolded with the main theme of “Know Your University”, comprising a series of enlightening sessions in the morning that instilled a sense of responsibility and purpose in the hearts of new NSBM undergraduates. The sessions featured Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake; Head of the Department of Computer and Data Science, Mr. Naji Saravanapavan; and Head of the Department of Management, Ms. Bhasuri Amarathunga.

Adding a unique dimension, a special session was conducted by Mr. Nihal Thalduwa, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, shedding light on “Your Responsibility to Society.”

The day concluded with a campus tour, allowing new entrants to explore NSBM’s state-of-the-art facilities and amenities, which provided a firsthand look at the university’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment.
