NSBM General Convocation Week 2023 marked the commencement today, 11th December 2023 at NSBM Auditorium in the esteemed presence of the President of Sri Lanka, Honourable Ranil Wickremesinghe, as the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. 

The inaugural session was followed by a milestone event that unfolded in commemoration of NSBM Green University’s 7th anniversary in 2023. The grand opening ceremony of the new Playground and Pavilion was marked as a signature project of NSBM’s Phase II development, spanning an additional 15 acres of land.

The new Playground and Pavilion were officially dedicated to the vibrant NSBM student community on this momentous day, symbolising not only a pivotal addition to the university’s infrastructure but also a commitment to providing an enriched higher educational experience for the nation’s students.

The opening ceremony saw the graceful presence of the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Mr Nihal Ranasinghe, the Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E A Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Member of NSBM Board of Directors/ Senate, Mr Sujeewa Muldalige, Deans of the faculties, Heads, Staff and Students of NSBM.
