NSBM Youth Film Festival, organized by the Multimedia Circle and Marketing Circle of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Management of NSBM Green University was officially launched and introduced on the 26th of July 2023 at the Green Boardroom.  

The Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Bharatha Dodankotuwa, graced this memorable occasion as the Chief Guest while it saw the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva, the Head of the Department and Festival Mentor, Mr. Venura Colobage, Festival Director, Lecturer Mr. Hasantha Dissanayake, Festival Coordinator, Lecturer Mr. Tharaka Nayanapriya, and many academics.  

The NSBM Youth Film Festival is a showcase for creative and innovative young student filmmakers and it brings together young people who are interested in cinema in Sri Lanka. This film festival is organized in conjunction with the 7th Anniversary Celebration of NSBM Green University. The first-ever NSBM Youth Film Festival will be held for two days in November 2023 at NSBM Green University premises under three distinctive categories; Intra-Unviersity, Inter-University, and Inter-School Short Films. Within the scope of the festival, workshops and master classes are organized with many academics, producers, and directors, and university students who want to make films are encouraged on this occasion.
