The Green Fiesta 2023 Musical Concert, organised by the NSBM Welfare Society, turned into a celebration of music that also evolved as a worthy opportunity to contribute to a noble cause.
In a gesture of community support, the NSBM Welfare Society channelled the concert’s proceeds towards making a substantial donation of essential medical supplies to the Oncology Unit at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital in Galle on 29th November 2023. This benevolent gesture unfolded under Dr. Chrysantha Perera, Senior Consultant Oncological Surgeon and Head of the Palliative Care Unit at the Oncology Unit of Teaching Hospital – Karapitiya, who received the donations on behalf of the hospital.
Representing the NSBM Green University, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Secretary of the NSBM Welfare Society, along with a team of officials and Members of the NSBM Welfare Society, participated in the occasion.
