NSBM Green University proudly hosted the Inauguration Ceremony to ceremoniously mark the official commencement of the newest batch of students enrolled in the March 2024 Intake. The ceremony was held under three sessions at two dedicated venues: the NSBM Auditorium and Faculty of Business premises with the participation of more than 1500 students and their parents.

The ceremony was graced with the presence of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head – Academic Development & Quality Assurance,  Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, Heads of the Departments and academics of NSBM.

Adding to the grandeur of the event, each session featured an esteemed personality as the chief guest. His Excellency Santosh Jha, the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka; Ms. Wasantha Perera, Secretary to the Ministry of Education; President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Sri Lanka, Mr. Keerthi Gunawardane honoured the occasion as Chief Guests and enlivened the gathering by delivering motivational keynote speeches. Their insightful speeches provided unique perspectives, imparting valuable lessons and inspiration to the eager young minds embarking on their academic journey.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Dean – Faculty of Business of NSBM, Ms. Thilini De Silva and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwawila, commended the new students for their choice of NSBM for their higher education and also shared important insights about life at NSBM and the uniqueness of the degree programs with both students and parents.
