The annual fiesta of sports at NSBM Green University; NSBM Sports Fiesta 2022 concluded on a remarkably successful note.
The Grand Final of NSBM Sports Fiesta 2022 brought alive many more enthralling experiences as the NSBM athletes representing 4 houses continued their spiritful performances in the final running events, during the morning and evening sessions of the grand final.
The day was glamoured with the graceful participation of Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E A Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Student Affairs, Mr Kasun Dissanayake, Deans, staff members, undergraduates and alumni of NSBM.
The participation of the guest of honour, Mr. Niluka Karunaratne, 3-time Olympian representing badminton and 17-time national champion, enlivened the morning session with more colour. Whilst the evening session was graced with the honourable presence of the Cheif Guest, Former Army Commander, General Daya Rathanyake, the Secretary to the Ministry of Industries.

The award for the Best Male Athlete of NSBM Sports Fiesta 2022 was presented to Mr Thaveesha Wijegunasinghe, whilst Ms Gagani De Silva and Ms Udari Bandara were commended as the Best Female Athletes of NSBM Sports Fiesta 2022. 🥇
