The Students’ Circle of Software Engineering at NSBM had the privilege of organizing GREEN EXE 2.0, a highly anticipated software application development competition. The event consisted of three competitive rounds held within the Faculty of Computing.

The final round and awards ceremony were graced by several distinguished guests, including Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM; Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance; Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Computing; Dr. Mohomed Shafraz, Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Information Systems; Mr. Naji Sarvanabavan, Head of the Department of Data Science and Computer Science; and Mr. Diluka Wijesinghe, Lecturer-in-Charge of the Students’ Circle of Software Engineering.

A special acknowledgment goes to ION Groups Pvt Ltd and Mr. Induwara Wickramasinghe, Managing Director and Co-Founder, for their generous sponsorship. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the esteemed judging panel from Virtusa, which included Mr. Kailanathan Maiyuran (Senior Lead Consultant – Information Security), Mr. Heshan Mallawararachchi (Software Engineer – IFS), Mr. Eksara Jayan (Lead Consultant), and Mr. Nonim Samarakoon (Associate Engineer – Mobile/Web App Engineering).

The highlight of the event was the outstanding project showcases by the final eight contestants, who emerged from over 50 registrations. They competed with passion and innovation, all vying for the coveted GREEN EXE 2.0 title.
