In a remarkable achievement, undergraduates from NSBM Faculty of Science have won first place in the Inter-University Undergraduate Poster Competition under the theme of “Innovations in Nanotechnology for Clean Water and Sanitation” and the Best Green Chemistry Award 2024 for the same. The competition was held on June 1st, 2024, and was organized by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS): Section E2, in collaboration with the SLAAS Environment Committee.
The victorious team comprised NSBM Science Undergaraduates: V. D. Hary, K. I. Polpitiya, D. N. Chathurani, N. P. G. M. Santhushi, and H. N. S. D. Mediyawa. The team’s success was guided by the expert leadership of Dr. Damayanthi Dahanayake, Head of the Research Council, Dr. Miruna Rabindrakumar, Head of the Department of Biomedical Science, and Mr. Lavan Kumar, the lecturer-in-charge of the poster competition.
