The NSBM Research Council organized a session titled “Achieving Career Goals through Research: Challenges and Way Forward” on May 15th, 2024. Professor Nayana Gunathilaka from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, served as the resource person. Renowned for his expertise in research, Professor Gunathilaka shared insights on balancing academic workload while maintaining a passion for research.

The session saw the participation of the Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, the Head of the Research Council, Dr. Damayanthi Dahanayaka and fellow academics of NSBM Green University.

This interactive session included discussions on overcoming challenges faced by academics and methods to achieve research success. The importance of multidisciplinary research for universities was emphasized, inspiring academics to engage more deeply in research activities. Overall, it was a fruitful session that left attendees inspired and motivated.
