The Vice Chancellor Challenge Trophy Basketball match between NSBM Alumni and current students took place on 19th July 2024 at the NSBM Indoor Stadium, delivering an epic clash filled with excitement and intensity. After a hard-fought battle, the current NSBM Basketball Team emerged victorious, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination. Thejaka Iddamalgoda was named the Most Valuable Player of the match for his outstanding performance.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Mr. Thisal Yatawara, Lecturer and Master-In-Charge of the NSBM Basketball Club, along with other academic and non-academic staff.
