The official inauguration ceremony to welcome the newly enrolled batch for the 2022 Intake of NSBM PhD and Postgraduate Programmes was held on 31st July 2022 at the NSBM Auditorium.

The PhD & Postgraduate Inauguration Ceremony 2022 becomes a significant milestone in the history of NSBM as it marked the programme commencement of the 1st batch of UGC-approved NSBM offered Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management programme. The 2022 Intake also consisted of candidates of the other postgraduate programmes offered under NSBM’s Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement: MBA, MBS and Postgraduate Diploma programmes (PGD), and also a batch of professionals from a reputed hotel chain in Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts who are following professional development courses at NSBM.

The ceremony comprised of keynote speeches, presentations and sessions that were organized with the view of enlightening the newly enrolled candidates on the basic procedures, operations and other important matters related to their academic journey as a PhD or postgraduate candidate of NSBM Green University.

Dr. Harsha Subasinghe, CEO & president of Codegen (Vega Innovations), participated in the ceremony as the Keynote Speaker. The event was further enlivened with the presence of Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement, Deans of other four faculties, NSBM staff, distinguished guests, and the PhD and postgraduate candidates who are to embark on a new academic journey with NSBM.
