NSBM Launches a Future Ready Graduate Model
In a corporate world that is changing drastically, the role of universities in coping with it is vital to be ahead of the game. Understanding this need of the hour, NSBM for Career & Entrepreneurship (NFORCE) launched the Future Ready Graduate Model of NSBM, laying down how the university is producing Future Ready Graduates.
Along with this event, the Corporate Office of NFORCE was also declared open by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe. NSBM, being the trendsetter in many things; for the first time in a Sri Lankan University, the career guidance unit was positioned as a brand which is called NFORCE to give the students corporate exposure.
This event was also graced by Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance. Prof. Baratha Donakotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Chandana Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement, Dr. Chaminda Wijesingha, Senior Manager Administration, Mr. Kapila Liyanage, and Head of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Kasun Dissanayake, members of academic and non-academic staff and student leaders of all the clubs and societies of NSBM.
The keynote speech of the event was given by Mr. Mohamed Rushdi Hadhi, Manager of NFORCE, who emphasised that everyone in NSBM is contributing to making future-ready graduates. Then, as part of the strategy rollout, all the distinguished guests, staff members, and students took part in a signature campaign to pledge that everyone is part of the mission of making NSBM graduates future-ready.
