Celebrating a landmark milestone in the global outreach endeavours, NSBM Green University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yunus Emre Institute, the Turkish Cultural Centre on the 15th of November 2023 at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sri Lanka. This momentous MoU is set to foster academic, scientific, and cultural collaboration, aiming to strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between the two institutions.
The MoU was signed between the Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe and Director of Yunus Emre Institute, Mr. Macit Koç. The signing was witnessed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Sri Lanka, Her Excellency R. Demet Şekercioğlu and Deputy Vice-chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake.
This collaboration between the two institutions opens new avenues for academic and cultural exchange. It is a significant step towards fostering international partnerships for the advancement of knowledge and cultural understanding between Turkey and Sri Lanka.
