NSBM Green University proudly welcomes a batch of over 600 students newly enrolled in NSBM undergraduate degree programs under the 8th intake of the Interest-Free Student Loan Scheme (IFSLS) initiated by the Ministry of Education. The inauguration ceremony, marking the commencement of their academic journey, happens over four sessions on the 27th and 28th of January at the NSBM Auditorium.

Day 1 of the ceremony featured Session 1 and Session 2 which saw students attending the ceremony alongside their parents. The program offered an immersive experience through keynote speeches, presentations, and engaging sessions designed to guide and inspire the new entrants as they embark on their academic journey at NSBM Green University.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, the Deans of the five faculties, Heads of Departments, and both academic and non-academic staff of NSBM. Additionally, officials from the Ministry of Education, including Ms. Niluka Jayasena, Director of the IFSLS – Non-State Higher Education Division and Ms. Sajini Wijegunawardana, Assistant Director- Interest Free Student Loan Scheme, Non-State Higher Education Division enriched the occasion with their valuable participation.
