Felicitations to 2023 batch of Engineering and Interior Design graduates on your most deserving achievement! 

Day 2 – Session 4 of NSBM Convocation Week 2023 was a jubilant occasion dedicated to honouring the outstanding achievements of graduates who have successfully completed UGC-approved degrees in Interior Design, Computer System Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and Mechatronic Engineering. 

Conferring these budding changemakers was graced with the gracious presence of the State Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Suren Raghavan, as the chief guest of the ceremony. 

This ceremonious awarding of degrees was done by Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, in the presence of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance of NSBM, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, Academics, Parents and well-wishers.  

A special commendation goes to Mr. K. W. Chathuranga Janith Chinthaka who was awarded the Gold medal for being the Overall Best Performer of Faculty of Engineering UGC-approved degrees and received the award for Best Performer of Bachelor of Interior Design degree.  

Equally deserving of praise are Ms. Kasthuri Githmi Charundi Perera of BSc Engineering (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Ms. Nettigamage Sandali Methmini Perera of BSc Engineering (Hons) in Mechatronic Engineering, who were awarded for being the best performers of their respective degree programmes.
