වීරාභිචින්තන – NSBM Founder’s Day 2024, was a special event that honoured and celebrated the founder of NSBM Green University, our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe. In felicitation of his visionary leadership and contributions, a series of celebratory events were held on 26th July 2024, following his birthday on 22nd July.

The celebration commenced with the Launching Ceremony of the book “NSBM Legacy: Creator and Creation” in the NSBM Auditorium. The ceremony comprised a distinguished gathering of special guests, well-wishers, and NSBM staff and featured heartfelt speeches that paid tribute to Prof. Weerasinghe.

“NSBM Legacy: Creator and Creation”  is a comprehensive biography of Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, capturing his inspiring  life story, unique leadership skills, and the journey of creating NSBM Green University withthe support of a close-knit team. Its is authored by the well-received writer Mr. Chanuka Wattegama. During the ceremony, the first copy of the book was presented to Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe in a moment of grandeur.
