NSBM Green University’s Hackathon Hub showcased exceptional talent at the CryptX CTF 2025 competition hosted by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (UOSJ), with two teams securing top positions among 23 competitive teams.

Team CIPHERTECH displayed remarkable problem-solving and strategic prowess to secure 2nd place in the competition. The team comprised Kulindu Kodithuwakku, Rashmi Ramanayake, Amindya Wijesinghe and Hiruna Perera.

Team CYBERNAUTS showcased exceptional cryptography and problem-solving abilities, earning them 3rd place out of 23 teams. They successfully completed 12 challenges and accumulated a total of 610 points. The team comprised Yvan Thrimawithana, Sakuni Amasha, Ashen Budhdhika and Tharushka Dinujaya

Both winning teams represented the Hackathon Hub, a community at NSBM Green University dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering innovation in the field of cybersecurity. Their success at CryptX CTF 2025 demonstrates the hub’s role in preparing students for real-world security challenges and their capability to compete at the highest level.
