Being an exemplar in Sri Lankan Higher Education, NSBM has pushed its boundaries to another 15 acres, adjoining to the existing university premises to expand the opportunities for Sri Lankan students in social science , health science and Law streams via the three new proposed faculties: Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Health Sciences.

Marking the occasion, Prof. E.A. Weeerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, unveiled the new nameboard of NSBM Green University Town, Phase-II project, with the participation of Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head-Academic Development & Quality Assurance, Deans of the Faculties, Academic Staff members and non-academic staff members.

Later the Vice-Chancellor addressed the staff members at the NSBM auditorium to extend gratitude for the proud 4 years of excellence. All these activities were conducted under the health guidelines and safety measure of the COVID-19.
