The signing of the agreement for the partnership was held on 15th June 2022 at the NSBM Green University premises. This mutually beneficial initiative was hosted by the Department of Network & Security, Faculty of Computing in corporation with NSBM for Career and Entrepreneurship (NFORCE) initiative, focusing on internship/ career placement and soft skills development of NSBM students.

Lanka Communication Services (Pvt) Ltd (LankaCom), a subsidiary of Singapore Telecom International, is a telecommunications company which provides a range of services from internet access and related services, Data Communications and IP networks, System Integration including maintenance of servers/routers/firewalls and related, Wi-Fi solutions, Network monitoring, Hosting, eCommerce, etc.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake and the Director of Lanka Communication Services (Pvt) Ltd, Dr.Kapila A Silva exchanged the agreement on behalf of the two institutions. It was witnessed by Mr. Chamindra Attanayake, Head/ Senior Lecturer, Department of Network & Security, and academic staff members of NSBM Faculty of Computing together with Mr. Asanga Karunanayake – Head of LAN & Hosting of LankaCom.
