NSBM Green University hosted the Inauguration Ceremony to ceremoniously mark the commencement of the newest batch of students enrolled in the undergraduate degrees for the October 2023 Intake. The ceremony comprised four sessions held at two designated venues and witnessed the participation of more than 3,000 students and their parents. 

This momentous occasion was graced with the presence of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head – Academic Development & Quality Assurance,  Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, Heads of the Departments and academics of NSBM. 

Hon. State Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Suren Raghavan, participated in the ceremony as the Chief Guest and enlivened the gathering by delivering a motivational speech powered by his futuristic view and years of expertise. 

The session consisted of several speeches to greet the new entrants with a warm welcome and well-wishes for the journey ahead. Each session of the ceremony comprised inspiring speeches delivered by esteemed Keynote Speakers for the day: General Daya Rathnayake, 20th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Mr. Vishwa Aluthge, Chief Product Officer, Soft Matter by MAS and Mr. Shenal Colonne, Vice President, Virtusa Inc. Their insights and experiences brought a unique perspective to the gathering, which instilled a sense of inspiration and motivation in the hearts and minds of new entrants.
