NSBM Green University celebrated the beginning of the new year 2022 with a special ceremony held on 3rd January 2022 at the university premises. The ceremony commenced with hoisting the national flag and was followed by lighting the traditional oil lamp and singing the National Anthem. It was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, academic and non-academic staff of NSBM. The Vice-Chancellor shared the university’s plans for the new year and wished the staff a successful year ahead. Concurrently to the celebration, all the staff members took the Oath of Public Servants by pledging to work with efficiency and productivity throughout the year 2022.
