Faculty of Engineering at NSBM Green University proudly organized the TIDAC Research Symposium 2024, an esteemed event centered around the theme of “Technology Innovations & Digitalization Accompanying Creativity.” This year’s symposium, held on August 23, 2024, at the NSBM premises, focused on “Engineering and Design in the Digital Era.” The event sought to unite leading minds from across the globe to delve into the latest innovations and advancements in the fields of Engineering and Design.
The symposium commenced ceremoniously with a grand Inauguration Ceremony held at NSBM Auditorium. The keynote speech of the ceremony was delivered by the distinguished Professor Ananda Jayawardane, Senior Professor in Civil Engineering/ Former Vice Chancellor of University of Moratuwa. Complementing the keynote was a guest speech by Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda, President of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of South & Central Asia (FEISCA)/ past President of Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL). The ceremony set the stage for a series of insightful discussions and presentations.
The symposium was honoured by the distinguished presence of Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayaka, and Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Bharatha Dodankotuwa, who both played significant roles in the success of the symposium.
