Embarking on a significant initiative in internationalization, adelegation from NSBM Green University comprising Honorable Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premajayantha, Vice Chancellor Prof E A Weerasinghe, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake engaged in a series of strategic discussions and visits at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in Canada on 27th and 28th June 2024. 

During the visit, the delegation received a warm welcome at TMU and engaged in discussions with senior administrators and academics, including President & Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Lachemi; Provost and Vice President Academic Dr. Roberta Iannacito-Provenzano; Assistant Vice-President – International Sara Berman; Director of TMU GlobalDr. Cory Searcy, Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management Dr. Cynthia Holmes; and Dean of the Faculty of Science Dr. David Cramb.

Throughout the visit, the NSBM team explored TMU’s facilities and research initiatives while discussing potential collaborative ventures such as joint degree programs, research collaborations, and academic development. This visit signifies a significant stride towards enhancing educational opportunities for NSBM students through academic partnerships with Canada.
