Kinetic Fire 2024, the much-anticipated annual dancing extravaganza organized by the NSBM Dancing Club, unfolded in grandeur on 26th September 2024, at the NSBM Auditorium. The event was illuminated by the presence of two of Sri Lanka’s most iconic young dancers, Ms. Damithri Subasinghe and Mr. Gihan Madanapitiya, who graced the occasion as Chief Guests. Ceylon Biscuits Limited joined the event as the official sponsor.

The glamour of the event was elevated by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe; Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake; Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa; Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe; Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwawila; Head of Student Affairs, Ms. Aushadharie Kaushalya; Mistress-in-Charge of the NSBM Dancing Club, Ms. Shehani Joseph; and the Dancing Instructor of NSBM, Mr. Dilupa Wijerathna. The event also drew the presence of academics, non-academic staff, alumni, and the vibrant undergraduate community of NSBM.

Kinetic Fire 2024 captivated the audience with a stunning array of dance performances, showcasing the exceptional talent and creativity of NSBM students. A special recognition was given to Mr. Dilupa Wijerathna, the dedicated Dancing Instructor of NSBM, for his invaluable guidance and relentless efforts in honing the dancing talents of the students.
