NSBM Green University Cricket team shone brightly at the SLIIT T10 Cricket Showdown 2024, showcasing exceptional talent and determination to secure the Runner-up position out of 12 competitive teams. Dominating the group stage with victories against SLTC and Ocean University, our team advanced to the semi-finals, where a remarkable match-winning knock by Maneendra Jayathilaka, an explosive 86 runs from 36 balls led us to a thrilling win over IIT, securing a spot in the finals. Facing the team from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University in the final, NSBM fought valiantly, ultimately finishing as proud runners-up.
Adding to our achievements, Mihisal Amoda was awarded Best Batter of the Tournament, and Maneendra Jayathilaka was honoured as the Player of the Tournament. This incredible journey is a testament to the talent, teamwork, and resilience of NSBM Cricket.
