NSBM Green University commenced the annual Convocation Week with the inaugural session held today at the NSBM auditorium. The inaugural session was honoured by the esteemed presence of the President of Sri Lanka, Honourable Ranil Wickremesinghe, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In an inspiring convocation address, the President infused a profound sense of motivation into the hearts of the proud NSBM graduates and set a tone of inspiration for the entire ceremony.
The ceremony also saw the participation of other distinguished guests, including the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Mr Nihal Ranasinghe. Adding to the glamour was the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E A Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Member of NSBM Board of Directors/ Senate, Mr Sujeewa Muldalige, Deans of the faculties, Heads, and Academics of NSBM.
Day 1 – Sessions 1 and 2 were dedicated to the conferment of the graduates who successfully completed UGC-approved degrees attached to the Faculty of Business. These future business leaders were awarded their degrees under the esteemed patronage of the President. The Keynote Address of Session 2 was delivered Dr Isuru Koswatte, Assistant Professor in Business and Management at the University of the West of Scotland.
NSBM extends warm congratulations to all the graduates of this session, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. In recognition of outstanding performances in their respective degrees, special awards were presented to the following students:

- Ms. S. G. Gimhani Madhusanki Dilrukshi Gomas – “Best Performer of Business Management (Logistics Management) (Special) degree”
- Ms. Balasuriyage Shallene Perera – “Best Performer of Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Human Resource Management) (Special) degree” and “CIPM Gold Award for Most Outstanding Student Human Resource Management”
- Ms. Sanuri Sandamini De Silva – “Best Performer of Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Industrial Management) (Special) degree”
- Ms. Lakni Dilana Horanage – “Best Performer of Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Project Management) (Special) degree”
- Ms. P. Windhya Shanukie Lorren Fernando – “Best Performer of BM (Honours) in International Business degree”
