NSBM Colours 2022 Honors Outstanding Achievements of NSBM Sports Stars
NSBM Green University celebrated and recognized the remarkable achievements of NSBM sportsmen and sportswomen at “NSBM Colours 2022”, the annual Colours Awarding Ceremony for the year 2022. This prestigious event was held on 23rd June 2023 at the NSBM Auditorium with the participation of a distinguished audience.
NSBM Colours Awarding Ceremony is a glorious event hosted by NSBM to ceremoniously acknowledge the exceptional talents and outstanding contributions of NSBM students across many sports. This year’s event also served as a platform to honour the students who went above and beyond in their respective sports.
The ceremony was glamoured with the participation of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development & Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, Academics, Non-academics, parents and colours awardees.
The former Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain, Mr Aravinda De Silva lightened up the ceremony as the Chief Guest of NSBM Colours 2022, whose inspiring strings of words immensely commended the awardees for their exceptional achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in all their future endeavours.
During the ceremony, NSBM Sports Colours were presented to over 140 players across almost all the sports clubs at NSBM and also recognized the best players from each sport.
Among the awardees, Mr. Sashika Rukshan representing NSBM Martial Arts Club, was honoured with the Most Outstanding Sportsman of The Year 2022 Award, while Ms. Hashara Abeysinghe representing NSBM Chess Club, was awarded the Most Outstanding Sportswoman of The Year 2022.
