NSBM celebrates the triumphs of University of Plymouth qualified Business and Management graduates
NSBM Green University successfully concluded the annual Convocation Week held for the year 2021 with the conferment of the degrees to the graduates who completed Business Management degrees in affiliation with University of Plymouth, UK attached to the NSBM Faculty of Business.
NSBM, through its partnership with University of Plymouth has gifted thousands of young leaders in the fields of Business Management and IT over the years.
Ceremonial graduation of yet another batch of University of Plymouth qualified graduates at NSBM was held on Day 3 and Day 4 of the NSBM Convocation Week 2021. Today, the final day of the Convocation Week, honoured the accomplishments of University of Plymouth qualified Business Management graduates. Graduates of BSc (Hons) Marketing Management, and BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance and BSc (Hons) Event, Tourism & Hospitality Management degree programmes ceremonially graduated during the evening session of Day 4.
The conferment of degrees to these youth graduates was done by the Vice Chancellor of NSBM, Prof E A Weerasinghe, under four separate sessions.
The Secretary to the Foreign Ministry, Sri Lanka, Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage and the Head of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Prof. Harendra Kariyawasam, graced these sessions as Chief Guests and delivered insightful speeches, motivating and inspiring the audience.
The ceremony was also graced with the presence of Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM, Deans of faculties, Academic members and parents.
Ms Sasika Sanjula Fonseka, who completed University of Plymouth BSc (Hons) Event, Tourism & Hospitality Management degree programme with flying colours, won the “Prize for the Best Performance in Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management”. She was also the proud winner of the “Gold Medal Award for Overall Best Performance in the Faculty of Business” and “University of Plymouth Academic Partnerships Prize”.
