The DataDive: Power BI Workshop, held on 21^st and 22^nd of January 2025, was a remarkable event organized by the Association of Computer and Data Science of the Faculty of Computing. This two-day event comprised the workshop on Day 1 conducted by Ms. Chathurma Wijesinghe, Lecturer attached to the Department of Computer and Data Science, provided participants with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in data visualization and business intelligence using Power BI.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Mr. Naji Sarvanapavan, Head of the Department of Computer and Data Science, Ms. Nethmi Weerasingha, Lecturer in Charge of the Association of Computer and Data Science, and all the other academic and non-academic staff members, making it a significant occasion for learning and collaboration. This initiative reflects our commitment to equipping students with industry-relevant skills and fostering innovation within the faculty.

Day 02 of the DataDive featured the Power BI Competition, an inspiring showcase of student talent, creativity, and analytical skills. The event was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges, including Ms. Shashini Wijesinghe, Engineer (Technology) at Virtusa Pvt Ltd, and Ms. Chathurma Wijesinghe, Lecturer in the Department of Computer and Data Science, Faculty of Computing, NSBM Green University.

The competition was graced by Prof, Chaminda Wijesinghe, Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Naji Sarvanapavan, Head of the Department of Computer and Data Science, Ms. Nethmi Weerasingha, Lecturer in Charge of the Association of Computer and Data Science and other Faculty Academic and Non-academic staff, whose presence and encouragement made the event even more special.

The participants amazed everyone with their storytelling skills and innovative use of Power BI dashboards, making the event a resounding success.
