A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to forge a new collaboration between NSBM Green University, Department of Economics and Decision Sciences in the Faculty of Business, and Union Assurance PLC was signed today, 25th May 2022 at the NSBM Green University premises. In line with the Industry Partnership Programme of NSBM for Career and Entrepreneurship (NFORCE) initiative of NSBM, this mutually beneficial collaborative encompasses multiple objectives, viz. carrying out academic collaboration and cooperation on mutually beneficial activities, knowledge sharing, and career placement.

The Vice Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe and the Chief People Officer of Union Assurance, Mr Imtiyaz Aniff signed the MoU on behalf of the two institutions and were joined by Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake – Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Ms Shashini Gayanika – Head / Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences, Mr. Kasun Dissanayake – Head of Student Affairs and senior lecturer of the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences of NSBM whilst Union Assurance was represented by Mr. Dahami Pathirana – Manager, Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement, Ms. Uththara Kapugamage – Assistant Manager, Employer Branding & Talent Acquisition, and Mr Chathuranga Sampath – Senior Executive, Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding.
