2024 Chapter of NSBM Industry Preparation Training (IPT), the industry transformation programme of NSBM Computing Undergraduates, was officially launched on 1st July 2024.     
The Industry Preparation Programme (IPT) is an initiative by the NSBM Faculty of Computing, designed to prepare computing students for their upcoming internships and ensure a smooth transition into industrial life. This initiative provides practical training, essential soft skills development, and theoretical learning to enhance students’ competencies, helping them excel in stressful interview situations and thrive in an industrial setting.
IPT 2024 is scheduled to be held over two weeks, comprising a series of informative and practical sessions conducted by a panel of highly credentialed and experienced experts in the IT industry.  
The launching ceremony of IPT 2024 was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Dr. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Head of the Department of Software Engineering, Ms. Pavithra Subashini, Manager – NFORCE, Mr. Mohammed Rushdi and other academics of NSBM Faculty of Computing.   
Day 1 of the programme featured a keynote speech by Mr. Krishantha Dinesh, a Senior Solutions Architect with two decades of experience in the IT industry. Computing students also participated in an insightful session led by Mr. Dhammika Marasinghe, Associate Technical Lead at 99x Technology AS, on the “Overview of the IT Sector”.
