Phase 1 of NSBM Industry Preparation Training (IPT) 2023, the industry transformation programme of NSBM Computing Undergraduates, was officially launched on 29^th May 2023.

The Industry Preparation Programme (IPT) is an initiative of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering – NSBM Faculty of Computing, which is designed to prepare the computing student for a smooth and easy transition to industrial life by equipping them with practical training and theoretical learning under the guidance and inputs of experienced IT professionals from leading IT firms.

IPT 2023 is scheduled to be held over two weeks ending on 08^th June 2023, targeting computing students who are entering the 3^rd year of academic studies. It comprises a series of informative and practical sessions conducted by a panel of highly credentialed and experienced experts in the IT industry, along with the facilitation of NSBM academics.

The launching ceremony of IPT 2023 was graced by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, the Head of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Ms. Pavithra Subashini and other academics of NSBM Faculty of Computing.

On the Day 01 of the program, Computing students had the privilege of having an interactive session that boosted their motivation conducted by Mr. Krishantha Dinesh – Senior Architect, Virtusa Pvt Ltd. During the session, students were given invaluable insights, tips, and advice on how to excel in the IT field and embark on a rewarding career path. Concluding Day 1, students had a session with the HR teams of Virtusa Pvt Ltd and Sysco LABS to get to know the Industry expectations and Industry demand.
