A backyard bonfire camping, organized by the Department Of Design Studies, happened recently at NSBM Premises. It was organized as a part of a project of Module Interior Design III that investigates innovation by combining cutting-edge interior design concepts, space optimization, technological integration, and environmentally friendly solutions. It is a statement about responsible design in harmony with nature.
The event showcased the journey of creativity and design exploration of year II, batches 22.1 and 22.2, UGC students by presenting their custom-designed camping tents. The designs were assessed by a distinguished panel comprising the Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Chandana Perera, Head of the Department of Interior Design, Ms. Upeksha Hettithanthri, Lecturer – School of Art, Design and Architecture at University of Plymouth, Mr Jonathan Forster, who is a flying faculty member currently at NSBM, and Marketing Representative from University of Plymouth, Ms. Maya Orme-Lynch.
