Industrial Management Circle at NSBM successfully concluded IMEX ’24 – Industrial Management Day on 9th October 2024 at NSBM Green University. Held under the theme “Navigating Through Excellence” the event highlighted the vital role of innovation, leadership, and sustainability in shaping the future of industrial management.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Kushan Amarasinghe, CEO of Finagle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, who shared valuable insights on leveraging new technologies and sustainable practices within the manufacturing landscape. Esteemed representatives from Fonterra Brands Lanka enriched the Knowledge Forum by providing industry perspectives on waste minimization in manufacturing. The event also marked the launch of the inaugural edition of the IMEX Magazine, featuring articles contributed by students and industry experts.
The success of the day was further enhanced by the presence of Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development & Quality Assurance, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Mr. Shaja Musthaffa, Head of the Department of Operations & Logistics, and Mr. Rushdi Hadhi, Manager of Career Guidance, alongside the Lecturers-in-Charge of the Industrial Management Circle, Ms. Rekha Kulasekara and Mr. Sachin Kulandaivel.
